Job summary

Turkey Hill is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to recruit for operations, oversee onboarding and new hire orientation, and support staffing across departments. You will partner with hiring managers to forecast needs and manage the full recruitment lifecycle from screening to hire.

The role emphasizes GMP, FSMA, SQF compliance and safety standards. Ideal candidates have a degree or equivalent, at least 1 year in HR/recruiting, familiarity with HRIS (UKG), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of one year of HR recruiting experience.
• Understanding of state and federal employment laws.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Experience with HRIS systems, preferably UKG.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform staffing for operations and onboarding for new hires.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and forecast future requirements.
• Pre-qualify candidates via resumes, phone screens and coordinate on-site interviews.
• Manage onboarding steps for temporary assignments and direct hires.
• Support orientation including timeclock setup and I-9 processes.
• Maintain relationships with outside staffing agencies and sources.
• Source talent through colleges, social media, job fairs, and other avenues.
• Partner with HR and Operations to execute recruiting strategy.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies.
• Present job offers and compensation practices, including wage surveys.
