Boost Auto is seeking an Operations Systems Specialist to maintain and improve the systems behind our day-to-day operations. You will work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success to keep information accurate and processes reliable.

This role combines recurring systems administration with analytical and project-based work, including SKUs, BOMs, inventory data, reporting, and process optimization as we scale.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations systems, e-commerce operations, or fulfillment.
• Experience with ERP, WMS, shipping platforms, or similar operational systems.
• Strong analytical skills and high proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to balance recurring administrative responsibilities with systems, reporting, and problem-solving work.
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational systems, configurations, and reference data for order processing, inventory, shipping, and internal workflows.
• Create and maintain SKUs, BOMs, supersessions, product relationships, and other master data used across the operation.
• Coordinate the system setup of new products and revisions with the appropriate departments, including any required automation or special inventory logic.
• Test system changes, maintain supporting documentation, and verify that information flows correctly between platforms.

Role Overview

Boost Auto is seeking an Operations Systems Specialist to maintain and improve the systems, product data, and supporting processes behind our day-to-day operations. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this role works cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success to keep information accurate, systems reliable, and operational priorities aligned.

The position combines recurring systems administration with analytical and project-based work. Responsibilities range from maintaining SKUs, bills of materials, inventory data, and system configurations to monitoring inventory and inbound supply, troubleshooting issues, and preparing operational reports.

Core Responsibilities

Operational Systems & Product Data

• Maintain the operational systems, configurations, and reference data that support order processing, inventory, shipping, and internal workflows.
• Create and maintain SKUs, BOMs, supersessions, product relationships, and other master data used across the operation.
• Coordinate the system setup of new products and revisions with the appropriate departments, including any required automation or special inventory logic.
• Test system changes, maintain supporting documentation, and verify that information flows correctly between platforms.

Inventory & Supply Visibility

• Monitor inventory availability and inbound supply, identify potential shortages or delays, and communicate risks to the appropriate teams.
• Maintain shipment and availability information needed to support stock-status, backorder, inventory-allocation, and expedited-freight decisions.
• Complete and document routine inventory adjustments, and internal deductions while helping resolve discrepancies across systems.

Reporting & Operational Analysis

• Build and maintain operational reports and datasets using Excel and other reporting tools.
• Provide a dependable first pass on projects involving fulfillment, inventory, carrier performance, quality, or other operational topics.
• Support investigations by tracing relevant orders, shipments, purchase orders, product revisions, inventory activity, or system changes.
• Validate source data and summarize findings, risks, and recommended next steps in a clear, action-oriented format.

Systems Support & Continuous Improvement

• Diagnose system and data-flow issues, coordinate with internal teams and follow problems through resolution.
• Understand current operational workflows, identify opportunities for backend improvements, and implement approved system changes.
• Support additional operational projects and priorities as the business continues to grow and systems evolve.

Qualifications

Required

• Experience in operations systems, e-commerce operations, fulfillment, inventory control, or a related operational role.
• Experience working within an ERP, WMS, shipping platform, or comparable operational system.
• Strong analytical skills and high proficiency in Excel
• Ability to balance recurring administrative responsibilities with open-ended systems, reporting, and problem-solving work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Preferred

• Experience working with structured product, order, or inventory data such as item masters, SKUs, BOMs, or inventory records.
• Experience with workflow automation, system integrations, inbound freight, inventory planning, or operational reporting.
• Experience working cross-functionally in a growing organization.
