Ohio Valley Electrical Services, Inc. seeks a Business Systems Analyst to work directly with project managers, estimators, shop personnel, and field crews to observe day‑to‑day workflows and build practical tools and process improvements that enhance efficiency without headcount growth.

This individual contributor role combines business insight with technical ability to prototype and scope solutions, evaluate and consolidate software footprints, and drive adoption across divisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, information systems, or related field preferred; equivalent hands‑on experience will be considered.
• 5 to 8 years of experience combining business process analysis with hands‑on technical or software development work.
• Demonstrated ability to build functional tools, scripts, or applications, or to closely partner with and vet the work of developers who do.
• Track record of mapping business processes, identifying inefficiencies, and delivering solutions that were actually adopted.
• Comfortable working directly with tradespeople, field staff, and office staff of varying technical backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Spend time embedded with teams across divisions to observe how work is performed.
• Build and maintain a prioritized backlog of process‑improvement opportunities.
• Design, prototype, and build lightweight internal tools and dashboards.
• Develop tools and processes that improve communication between field staff and the office.
• Lead rollout, training, and adoption of new tools across departments.
