Job summary

Ohio Valley Electrical Services is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to work directly with our teams across multiple divisions, including electrical contracting, engineering, power services, panel fabrication, and civil excavating. You will observe day-to-day workflows, design practical tools, and prototype solutions to improve efficiency without increasing headcount.

You will collaborate with project managers, estimators, shop personnel, and field crews to prioritize improvements,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience in a related field.
• 5–8 years combining business process analysis with technical work.
• Ability to build or vet functional tools with developers.
• Track record mapping processes and delivering adopted solutions.
• Comfortable working with tradespeople and office staff of varied technical backgrounds.
• Self-starter who can drive projects to completion with minimal oversight.
• Experience evaluating or consolidating software vendors is a plus.
• Familiarity with construction or contracting software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Spend time embedded with teams across divisions to observe workflows.
• Maintain a prioritized backlog of process-improvement opportunities.
• Prototype and build lightweight internal tools, dashboards, and automations.
• Develop or improve tools for proposals, take-offs, and estimating workflows.
• Improve communication between field staff and the office.
• Lead larger software developments by building or scoping work for external developers.
• Evaluate current software footprint and consolidate tools.
• Lead rollout, training, and adoption of new tools.
• Partner with leaders to prioritize and scope projects across divisions.
• Track impact of implemented solutions and adoption.
• Stay current on AI-assisted development and tooling.
