Job summary

The Burpee Seed Corp is seeking an experienced Operations Support Lead to partner with the Senior Operations Manager and keep day‑to‑day operations running smoothly.

This hands‑on role involves solving problems, improving processes, and turning ideas into action across manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, and inventory.) You’ll lead projects, analyze data, and develop SOPs to drive efficiency while collaborating with area supervisors and multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in operations related field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, supply chain, or operations.
• Experience with manufacturing, assembly, packaging, warehouse, logistics, inventory, or similar operations.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Senior Operations Manager to support daily operational priorities and key initiatives.
• Lead projects focused on productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, material flow, and efficiency.
• Identify bottlenecks and process gaps; develop and implement solutions.
• Manage projects from planning through execution, including timelines and resources.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends and support business decisions.
• Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Collaborate with area supervisors to understand daily needs and opportunities for improvement.
• Support peak periods, transitions, and special projects as needed.
• Collaborate across teams to solve problems and improve ways of working.

Operations Support Lead

We’re looking for an Operations Support Lead to partner closely with our Senior Operations Manager and help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, working across teams, and turning ideas into action.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, inventory, and other operational areas, leading projects and helping identify practical ways to make our processes more efficient and effective.

What You’ll Do:

• Partner with the Senior Operations Manager to support daily operational priorities and key initiatives.
• Lead and support projects focused on productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, material flow, and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, supply chain, operations, project management, or a related environment.
• Experience with manufacturing, assembly, packaging, warehouse, logistics, inventory, or similar operations.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and keep projects moving in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments and influence outcomes without direct authority.
• A hands‑on, practical approach to solving problems and improving processes.
