Job summary

Responsibilities

• Support operations project logistics and data acquisition activities.
• Perform QA checks on GML reports and data products.
• Troubleshoot sensors, systems and data products at first level.
• Document root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Interface with data acquisition software and hardware systems.
• Assist with sensor construction, maintenance and qualification.
• Support quality control including hardware inspection and shipping coordination.
• Contribute to process documentation and lessons learned.
• Monitor subcontractor deployments and report findings to senior staff.
• Work non-standard schedules to support 7-day operations.

Bridger has established strong competitive advantages with our Gas Mapping LiDAR™ technology and we are seeking an outstanding Operations Support Engineer to support the operations of advanced LiDAR sensor systems through hands-on technical work, cross-functional coordination, and quality assurance activities.

About the role

This position works closely with GML Operations, Hardware, IT, and Software teams to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality data product delivery.

What you'll do

• Support operations project logistics, subcontractor coordination, and data acquisition activities
• Perform quality assurance checks on GML reports and data products
• Conduct first-level troubleshooting of sensors, systems, and data products
• Document root cause investigations and corrective actions
• Interface with data acquisition software and hardware systems
• Assist with sensor construction, maintenance, and qualification in lab and/or field settings
• Support quality control activities including hardware inspection and shipping coordination
• Contribute to process documentation and lessons learned
• Monitor subcontractor deployments and report findings to senior staff
• Work non-standard schedules as needed to support 7-day operations

Qualifications

• B.S. or B.A. degree (technical or scientific field preferred)
• 2+ years of experience working across teams in a technical or operational environment
• Experience supporting project planning and execution
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in oil and gas or industrial technology environments
• Familiarity with GIS tools (Google Earth, QGIS, ArcGIS)
• Experience with ticketing systems and documentation tools
• Basic coding experience (Python, MATLAB, SQL)
• Experience handling structured data formats (.csv, .kml/.kmz, etc.)
