SABG is seeking an Operations Support Analyst (Advanced) – Strategic Support to support Warfighter Operational Integration for the Missile Defense Agency. The role is based at Fort Belvoir, Virginia and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

The ideal candidate will bring advanced program analysis experience, strong MS Office skills, and a track record of delivering senior-level briefings and white papers.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher required.
  • 6 years experience in missile defense industry required.
  • 10 years operational experience (or 15 years with a Bachelor’s degree) required.
  • 2 years experience in a Combatant Command, Service Headquarters, Joint Staff, or DoD Agency (MDA, DITRA, DARPA, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with MDA leadership to help shape strategic vision and policy.
  • Support the development and modification of DoD and MDA issuances.
  • Draft talking points, point papers and briefs to support MDA Director engagements with leadership, congress, and outside organizations.
  • Develop white papers for senior leadership, consolidating background information to inform decisions.
  • Conduct detailed mission analysis providing a clear synopsis for leadership decisions with multiple courses of action.
  • Advise senior leadership regarding Next Generation Missile Defense and Golden Dome for America.

Brief Description

SABG is hiring an Operations Support Analyst Advanced to support Warfighter Operational Integration work with the Missile Defense Agency.

JOB TITLE:

Operations Support Analyst (Advanced) – Strategic Support

CLEARANCE:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance

LOCATION:

Ft. Belvoir, VA

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ideal candidates will have experience in the management and program analysis field relating to: military operational concepts/capabilities; integration and fielding of complex weapon systems; conducting strategic high-level coordination activities; deliberate planning; test support; problem solving and working independently. Specific duties include:

  • Interface with MDA leadership to help shape strategic vision and policy.
  • Support the development and modification of DoD and MDA issuances.
  • Draft talking points, point papers and Power Point briefs/presentations to support MDA Director engagements with leadership, congress, and outside organizations.
  • Develop white papers for senior leadership, consolidating relevant background information to inform future decisions.
  • Conduct detailed mission analysis providing a clear synopsis of the situation under discussion for leadership decisions. Provide multiple courses of action for leadership selection.
  • Serve as an advisor to senior leadership regarding Next Generation Missile Defense and Golden Dome for America.
SUPERVISION:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Has specialized relevant knowledge and works as a member of the team and assists with solving complex problems. Advanced level working knowledge, skills, and abilities using Microsoft Office. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

Education And Experience
  • Master’s degree or higher
  • 6 years experience must be in the missile defense industry
  • 10 years operational experience (or 15 years with a Bachelor’s degree)
  • 2 years experience in a Combatant Command, Service Headquarters, Joint Staff, or DoD Agency (MDA, DITRA, DARPA, etc.)
Computer Skills
  • Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
  • Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations, DoD Directives and US Code. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on data.

SALARY:

$150,000 -$175,000

Compensation at SABG is determined based on factors such as the role’s requirements, education, certifications, skills, experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Final compensation is based on the specific qualifications and circumstances of each candidate.
