Your Impact

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising a high-performing team responsible for handling products safely, efficiently, and effectively as they move through the facility. This includes maintaining a safe work environment and fostering a safety culture among associates. The role involves monitoring production volume, assigning or reassigning tasks such as receiving, put-away, picking, shipping, and supporting activities. The individual must respond to workflow changes and contribute positively to key performance indicators. The role also involves resolving issues, addressing safety concerns, and communicating business objectives and daily plans to the team. Additionally, engaging with associates to address organizational or interpersonal issues is vital.

What You Will Do
  1. Ensure associates understand and follow safe work practices through safety observations and discussions.
  2. Identify and resolve safety issues, complete safety observations, and escalate safety concerns.
  3. Assist with HR-related issues including attendance, pay, benefits, job changes, and workplace accommodations.
  4. Communicate expectations clearly and provide constructive feedback.
  5. Monitor and manage performance, ensuring tasks are executed accurately and on schedule.
  6. Determine daily workload based on facility targets and monitor inventory movements.
  7. Manage staffing needs, adjusting work according to resources and skills.
  8. Conduct shift briefings covering safety, upcoming events, and daily demand.
  9. Expedite priority product processing such as S.O.E. or S.O.S.
  10. Complete incident and injury reports and direct resolution of equipment issues.
  11. Implement process improvements and prepare shift turnover documentation.
  12. Mentor associates, conduct performance reviews, and foster an engaging, inclusive work environment.
  13. Identify operational needs, safety issues, and bottlenecks for action.
  14. Participate in hiring, set goals, and provide coaching and developmental opportunities.
  15. Handle performance and behavioral issues, ensure proper training, and support organizational change.
  16. Ensure accurate performance measurement and resource allocation.
  17. Respond to incidents, assist with HR hiring processes, and maintain proper staffing levels.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field OR 4 years of experience in distribution center/warehouse operations or a related area.
Preferred Skills/Education
  • Experience building a safety culture and leadership with direct reports.
  • Mentoring and coaching skills, monitoring quality, and communicating with all organizational levels.
  • Experience in Lowe’s supply chain facilities or corporate initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems.
