Job summary

Hyper Solutions is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing and assembly activities at our Anaheim facility. This hands-on leader will coordinate people, materials, and production priorities to help ensure products are built safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to engineering and quality standards.

The role requires 5+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 2 years in supervision, working knowledge of Lean and 6S, and proficiency with Excel and production

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 6S, and production improvement practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical documents, diagrams, written instructions, and production schedules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead a team through changing priorities while maintaining standards for safety, quality, attendance, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily assembly and production work, including schedules, assignments, staffing, and production priorities.
• Ensure employees have the job orders, engineering documents, inspection sheets, and other information needed to complete their work.
• Maintain a visible presence on the manufacturing floor, coaching employees and addressing safety, quality, and productivity issues as they arise.
• Monitor workload, labor hours, material availability, shortages, and on-time performance. Adjust assignments and coordinate with other departments to keep work moving.
• Inspect work, materials, products, and equipment for compliance with production and quality standards.
• Enforce safety procedures and company policies, and support employee training in safe work practices, assembly processes, Lean manufacturing, and 6S.
• Provide performance feedback, complete employee evaluations, and address performance or attendance concerns.
• Review overtime needs and manage overtime responsibly while meeting production commitments.
• Identify engineering or documentation issues during production, initiate Engineering Change Requests when needed, and support prototype builds.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Shipping, and other teams to resolve shortages, production constraints, and customer-related issues.
• Support inventory activities, workplace organization, and continuous improvement efforts.

Core Responsibilities

• Direct daily assembly and production work, including schedules, assignments, staffing, and production priorities.

Additional Responsibilities

• Review and approve employee and temporary associate timecards; verify labor entries and close job orders accurately.
• Investigate recurring product discrepancies, manage defective material, and support nonconformance documentation, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Identify engineering or documentation issues during production, initiate Engineering Change Requests when needed, and support prototype builds.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Shipping, and other teams to resolve shortages, production constraints, and customer-related issues.
• Support inventory activities, workplace organization, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Review overtime needs and manage overtime responsibly while meeting production commitments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or technical degree, particularly in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Experience manufacturing electrical equipment or related products.
• Experience with high-mix production, prototype builds, or frequently changing priorities.
• Experience with ERP/MRP or other production systems.

  Compensation and Benefits

  The anticipated hiring range for this role is $105,000–$135,000 per year. Actual salary may vary based on factors including experience, skills, certifications, and location. This hire will be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on factors such as individual and organizational performance.
