Job summary

General Nutrition Centers, Inc. is seeking an Operations III Supervisor to oversee distribution within our warehouse and ensure efficient workflows.

This role focuses on driving productivity, coaching staff, and maintaining a safe, compliant work environment while leveraging LM System, WMS, and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or Associates Degree in Logistics or related field, or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
• 6+ years progressive Operations experience with degree or 7+ years without degree.
• Prior managerial/supervisory experience preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• Proficiency in PC, radio frequency, WMS and similar technologies.
• Ability to operate machinery, including a forklift.
• Ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Interpersonal skills to work with employees and management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor employee and department performance and develop action plans to maximize productivity using the Labor Management System.
• Plan and schedule personnel, equipment, and supplies to maximize efficient flow of materials.
• Assist management in developing and managing financial and operational plans on a daily, weekly, and annual basis.
• Hire, motivate, and train new and current employees.
• Provide staff with materials, information, and guidance to achieve daily department goals.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and damage-free handling of materials and merchandise.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure safe handling of merchandise and equipment.
• Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and bi-yearly cleaning initiatives.
• Additional duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This positionis responsible formonitoring staff to ensure all distribution duties are completed.Supervise the assigned specific operational area(s) within the warehouse to maximize productivity, employee morale, and ensure that all department service levels are achieved.The Operations IIISupervisor will support the developmentof a positive, collaborative work environment by encouraging open communication, recognizing employee contributions, and helping implement initiatives that promote employee retention and satisfaction.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor employee and department performance and provide an action plan to maximize productivitywhileutilizingLabor Management System.

• Adequately plan and schedule personnel, equipment, and supplies to maximize efficient flow of materials within the warehouse

• Assistmanagement in developing, implementing, and managing financial and operational plans on a daily, weekly, and annual basis

• Hire, motivate, and train new and current employees

• Provide staff the proper materials, information, and guidance to achieve the daily goals of the department

• Ensure thetimely,accurate, and damage-free handling of materials and merchandise

• Provide safe work environment and make sure employees are handling merchandise and equipment in a safe manner to prevent injuries

• Ensure that all daily, weekly,monthlyand bi-yearly cleaning and housekeeping initiatives are successfully achieved

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for supervising a team of employees.

PHYSICAL ASPECTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
