Job summary

Yates Services seeks a operations manager to oversee day-to-day and long-term staffing and processes. You will manage Technicians and ensure customer-facing results by building productive relationships with employees. This role covers Picking Operations, Material Handling, and related areas.

You will lead by example, coach teams, and drive safety, productivity, and cost controls while meeting customer expectations and company objectives in a demanding manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or BS/AS Degree preferred.
• Experience in managing manufacturing staff and operations.
• Emphasis on coaching, training, and enforcing policies.
• Focus on safety, quality, and productivity within 5S standards.

Responsibilities

• Communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, and appraise staff results.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train employees; develop growth opportunities.
• Monitor workflow; observe equipment; study methods; reduce costs.
• Ensure operation of equipment; call for repairs and evaluate new tech.
• Maintain safe, clean environment; enforce 5S policies.
• Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data and investigations.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results.
• Lead in crisis; drive tough discussions to resolution.
