Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of LTL industry, DOT rules, OSHA, NMFC and tariff rules.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Multi-tasked with good organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, educate and develop employees with focus on retention and growth.
• Supervise and direct work with emphasis on quality, safety and customer deliverables.
• Monitor and educate employees on unsafe acts/conditions; apply corrective actions.
• Plan daily manpower and set schedules to ensure timely, damage-free delivery and pickup.
• Communicate assignments clearly and coordinate with all staff.
• Monitor service freight and ensure on-time performance.
• Identify opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies while maintaining safety.
• Assist customers with rate quotes, claim information and appointments.
• Gather data for reporting and monitor performance metrics.
• Build positive relationships with business partners to meet service standards.
• Identify shipments with incorrect weight/classification; ensure OS&D is addressed.
• Perform administrative tasks and comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
