Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor in New York to lead a shift in a fast-paced service center. You will oversee staff, ensure safety, quality, and efficiency, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining high levels of customer service and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• 2 years of experience in operations, preferably in the transportation industry.
• Supervisory experience preferred; working knowledge of AS400 and Microsoft Office.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitors safety and trains on safety processes as needed.
• Plans, loads, and unloads freight efficiently throughout the shift.
• Supervises staff and assigns pickups and deliveries to optimize utilization.
• Leads shift meetings and communicates schedules to affected employees.
• Ensures OSHA and DOT compliance and safe working conditions.
• Operates OD's technology systems to monitor shipment movement.
