Job summary

Interstate Waste Services, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor II to oversee collections operations across multiple lines (commercial, residential, roll-off, and container delivery).

You will supervise drivers and helpers and collaborate with the Operations Hauling Manager to drive safety, customer experience, and efficiency while upholding safety and regulatory standards. Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in waste management operations.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in waste management, transportation, and/or logistics services.
• Experience with route optimization and efficiency improvement.
• Knowledge of DOT requirements for commercial vehicles.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Defensive Driving (Smith System 5 Keys)

Responsibilities

• Lead drivers and helpers to meet safety goals and performance targets.
• Plan routes, assess safety, and coordinate with sales/dispatch to fix unsafe conditions.
• Ensure DOT compliance and environmental regulations; maintain regulatory paperwork.
• Drive customer experience by resolving issues and communicating changes to stakeholders.
• Analyze route performance and optimize assignments to meet cost and service goals.
• Foster teamwork and coach staff for career development and engagement.
