Zusammenfassung

Univar Solutions is seeking a hands-on Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day activity at our Dallas, GA distribution facility. You’ll oversee yard and warehouse teams, ensure safety, and drive on-time, accurate shipping and receiving.

You will be the first-line leader on an early shift (5:00 am–2:00 pm), coordinating with Operations Manager and district leadership. A strong emphasis on OSHA/DOT compliance and hands-on problem-solving is required.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years supervisory experience in chemical distribution or hazmat warehousing.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and DOT hazmat shipping requirements.
• Willingness to learn to drive a tractor trailer on the yard.
• Ability to work an early shift (5:00 am–2:00 pm), Monday–Friday.
• Comfortable using ERP or warehouse management systems, Excel, and Outlook.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to work hands-on in yard/warehouse.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Aufgaben

• Lead, schedule and coach yard specialists and warehouse associates to meet shipping and receiving commitments.
• Enforce safety standards, conduct Job Safety Analyses, and lead safety talks/inspections.
• Oversee handling, storage, loading/unloading of chemicals; ensure hazmat/DOT compliance.
• Ensure shipments are properly placarded, documented, and secured.
• Move trailers on the yard and qualify for yard tractor operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance on forklifts, pumps, and site equipment; coordinate with vendors.
• Maintain inventory accuracy via cycle counts and system entries.
• Maintain training records and support internal/external EHS audits.
• Handle administrative work: purchasing requisitions, invoices, timekeeping, shift reports.
• Address performance/attendance issues with coaching/COR actions.
• Communicate with drivers, customer service, carriers, and district leadership to resolve issues.
