Univar Solutions is seeking a District Operations Manager to lead multiple branches in a designated district, ensuring safe, compliant, and economical operations across transportation, warehouse and tank farm.

You will drive performance, supervise staff, manage budgets, and partner with HR on development while maintaining strong safety records and timely incident investigations. This role requires 25-50% travel and chemical distribution expertise.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• HazMat certified, Hazwoper Certified, CVI.
• 7+ years' experience in operational leadership.
• Strong supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of chemical distribution facility operation and regulations.
• Willingness to travel 25-50% with overnight stays.

Aufgaben

• Facilitates compliance to health, safety, and environmental policies and required training.
• Supports sales efforts with regulatory compliance and HS&E standards.
• Supports emergency response across District.
• Manages district health and safety program and conducts safety audits.
• Ensures timely incident investigations and root cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Communicates District performance and trends to leadership.
• Leads operations personnel within the District.
• Manages salary plan, hiring, promotion and termination of staff.
• Identifies skill gaps and partners with HR on development programs.
• Sets performance expectations and accountability across departments.
• Oversees training compliance and staff development.
• Mentors subordinate leaders and models expected performance.
• Ensures clear roles and communications within branches.
• Provides frequent senior leadership updates to branches.
• Develops budgets and operating plans for all branches in the District.
• Participates in District Business Meetings and presents District Reviews.
• Fosters cooperation between Operations and Commercial teams.
• Ensures adherence to company quality processes and inventory controls.
• Drives process improvements across the District and locations.
• May require travel to support initiatives.
