Job summary

nVent is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead journeymen and apprentices in the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems for modular buildings. The role is based at our Oregon, WI facility, with responsibilities spanning planning, safety, and quality control.

You will oversee coordination with cross-functional teams, ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code, and drive production efficiency while maintaining a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in installation and maintenance of electrical wiring and equipment.
• 5+ years of leadership experience preferred.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license with NEC knowledge.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong analytical ability to identify and resolve problems.
• Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities and delegate.

Supervises and coordinates activities of journeymen and apprentice Electricians engaged in construction, installation, and testing of electrical components installed in modular buildings.

This position will be based from our facility in Oregon, WI.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

• Plans wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers, and panel boards.
• Inspects wiring and fixtures for conformance to company specifications or local electrical codes.
• Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

• Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials
• Confers with other staff to coordinate activities of individual departments
• Sets up machines and equipment
• Performs activities of workers supervised.
• Performs quality control testing of product buildings for compliance to intended operations performance, corrects installation defects and provides process follow-up documentation.

YOU HAVE:

• 6+ years experience or training in the installation and maintenance of electrical wiring and equipment
• 5+ years of leadership experience is preferred.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license required with strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems through gathering and analyzing of information. Strong analytical
• Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities, properly planning, developing and delegating team members.
• Ability to meet the physical and environmental demands including working within a manufacturing environment, occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Frequently standing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
