Job summary

Wisconsin Public Service Corp. in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin seeks an Operations Supervisor to manage internal and contracted resources for Electric Operations, including construction, design, planning and scheduling of transmission and distribution projects.

You will oversee safety, efficiency, and timely delivery of customer service by coordinating personnel, equipment, and materials, and by working closely with unions and contractors in the assigned area.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in utility or similar industry or supervision of direct reports.
• Should have a good working knowledge of union contracts and employee relationship building.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervision tasks in Electric Operations for transmission and distribution systems.
• Collaborate with contracted companies to achieve project results.
• Prioritize safety of employees, customers, and contractors in all work.
• Plan, coordinate and conduct safety meetings and trainings.
• Manage assignments to minimize overtime and costs while maintaining service.
• Motivate staff to improve efficiency, availability, and safety performance.
• Evaluate performance and conduct annual reviews with employees.
• Maintain good relationships with unions, employees, and community groups.
• Rotate to other areas to meet workload and develop broader understanding.
