Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead our early-morning dispatch and route execution in Virginia. Starting at 4:00 AM, you will rally driver teams, ensure inspections, and drive on-time departures with a focus on safety and daily operational excellence.

You will recruit, onboard, and mentor drivers, optimize daily routes, and uphold CDL/DOT compliance in a fast-growing logistics organization known for stability and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet operations.
• Strong knowledge of CDL/DOT regulations and safety practices.
• Experience coordinating dispatch, routes, and driver scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee morning dispatch and fleet execution starting at 4:00 AM.
• Lead, onboard, train, and mentor drivers and helpers.
• Monitor routes, optimize daily container pickups, and scheduling.
• Champion safety through daily checks, meetings, and investigations.
• Serve as escalation point for customer requests and route issues.
• Ensure CDL/DOT compliance and accurate data entry of metrics.
