Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor in the Southeast U.S. to lead frontline teams including Drivers, Collection Specialists, Lead Drivers, Dispatchers, and more.

You will own staffing, coach employees, promote a strong safety culture, and partner with leaders to ensure safe, efficient routes and exceptional customer service. You will build future leaders, drive daily operations, and collaborate with departments such as Customer Experience, Dispatch, Fleet

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in transportation, logistics, waste management, or similar operations.
• Passion for developing people and building teams.
• Strong communication, coaching, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Commitment to safety, operational excellence, and customer service.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Experience with Trux or Workday is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Drivers, Collection Specialists, Lead Drivers, Dispatchers, and other operational team members while overseeing daily collection operations.
• Own staffing of the operation; recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain top talent in partnership with Career Path.
• Conduct daily crew-outs/crew-ins and safety huddles to prepare employees for a safe day.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture through coaching, observations, ride-alongs, and safety initiatives.
• Monitor route execution and make real-time operational decisions to maximize safety, efficiency, and customer service.
• Partner with fellow Operations Supervisors to balance workloads and share resources to achieve daily goals.
• Coach employees through performance feedback and development; identify future leaders.
• Collaborate with Customer Experience, Dispatch, Fleet Maintenance, Career Path, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Resolve operational challenges, customer concerns, and service issues with a solutions-focused mindset.
• Lead by example to ensure every route is completed safely and customers receive exceptional service.
