Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Wichita, KS seeks an Operations Supervisor - 1st Shift. The role focuses on supervising aircraft maintenance activities, ensuring FAR compliance, and coordinating daily maintenance tasks.

You will lead teams, uphold safety, and engage customers as needed to deliver high-quality service. The position requires 3 years of relevant maintenance experience and an A&P certificate, with a commitment to safety and continuous improvement in a dynamic, service-centered

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in aircraft heavy/line maintenance and inspection procedures.
• Proven leadership experience in Aircraft Maintenance (preferred).
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a safety/security program and daily meetings.
• Coordinate completion of planned and ad-hoc maintenance.
• Ensure work is performed in accordance with FARs and repair standards.
• Monitor housing and facilities safety requirements and report insufficiencies.
• Engage with customers regarding Aircraft Maintenance when required.
• Identify and promote best practices and continuous improvement.

Education

A&P certificate / FAR part 65 certification

What are your contributions to the team?

• Encourage and promote a safe work environment by supervising a safety/security program
• Perform supervisory responsibilities such as performance & development management, time keeping, hiring, dismissals and lead/coordinate daily meetings
• Coordinate the completion of all planned and ad-hoc maintenance
• Ensure that work is performed in accordance with Repair Station/Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
• Monitor housing and facilities safety requirements and report any insufficiency
• Engage with customers regarding Aircraft Maintenance (where required)
• Identify and communicate best practices and champion continuous improvement initiatives

How to thrive in this role?

• You have 3 years of experience in performing aircraft heavy/line maintenance and inspection procedures
• You have leadership experience; Aircraft Maintenance (preferred)
• Possess an A&P certificate or certificated under FAR (part 65)
• Be familiar with aircraft inspection system & procedures
• Be familiar with Environmental, Health & Safety rules and regulations
• Have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Demonstrate effective leadership and coaching skills with the ability to develop people
• Have strong organizational and planning skills
