The 1st Shift Operations Supervisor will be responsible for:

1. Supervising shipping and receiving systems via local and customer WMS.
2. Supervising Value-Added Assembly (VAA) personnel.
3. Monitoring VAA equipment and systems.
4. Managing WMS, MES, and HRIS systems.
5. Coordinating activities with transportation and other departments.
6. Managing the local/corporate QMS.
7. Implementing programs and procedures to ensure plant cleanliness.
8. Planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions.
9. Participating in Multi-disciplinary Five Phase Problem Solving Teams for Continuous Improvement.
10. Providing On-the-Job Training.
11. Ensuring compliance with Dock Safety Procedures.
12. Ensuring timely shipment of materials to customers.
13. Determining the need for Hot Shot material and executing the Five Alarm Process.
14. Ensuring sufficient commodity distribution in shipments to meet customer needs.

Required Skills:

1. At least 3 years of operations leadership experience in Automotive, 3PL, or Heavy Industrial/Manufacturing environments.
2. Proficiency in Third Party VAA Services, including Part Sequencing, JIT, Value-Added, Sub-Assembly, Kitting, Repack, Deconsolidation, and Metering.
3. Experience leading a team of approximately 10 hourly personnel for 3+ years.
4. Ability to train others on processes, work instructions, and procedures.
5. Availability for 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 7am to 3:30pm, with flexibility for overtime.
6. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
