The 1st Shift Operations Supervisor will be responsible for:

• Supervising shipping and receiving systems via local and customer WMS.
• Supervising Value-Added Assembly (VAA) personnel.
• Monitoring the operation of VAA equipment and systems.
• Managing and monitoring WMS, MES, and HRIS systems.
• Coordinating activities with other departments, including transportation.
• Managing the local/corporate QMS.
• Implementing programs and procedures to ensure plant cleanliness.
• Assisting with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions.
• Participating in Multi-disciplinary Five Phase Problem Solving Teams to drive continuous improvement, processes, and policies.
• Providing On-the-Job Training.
• Ensuring compliance with comprehensive dock safety procedures.
• Ensuring timely shipment of materials to customers.
• Determining the need for Hot Shot material and executing the Five Alarm Process.
• Ensuring sufficient commodity distribution in shipments to meet customer needs.

Required Skills:

• At least 3 years of operations leadership experience in an Automotive, Third-Party Logistics, or Heavy Industrial/Manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Third Party VAA Services, including Part Sequencing, JIT, Value-Added, Sub-Assembly, Kitting, Repack, Deconsolidation, and Bulk and Small Lot Metering.
• Minimum of 3 years leading/directing a team of approximately 10 hourly personnel.
• Ability to train others on processes, work instructions, and procedures.
• Hours of operation are 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm, with flexibility and overtime as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
