Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions, Inc. DBA CCFS in Fargo, ND is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead our nightly operations from 10pm to 7am. You will guide drivers and freight handlers, ensure safe loading/unloading, and uphold company policies to maintain a productive work environment.

The role reports to the Service Center Manager and includes direct reports. A minimum of two years in supervisory and transportation roles, plus strong communication and DOT/OSHA knowledge, are required.

Qualifications

• Two years supervisory and transportation experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (written and verbal), analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
• Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations preferred.
• At least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe and efficient dock operations, including loading/unloading of freight.
• Supervise drivers; handle hiring, training, scheduling, and disciplinary actions.
• Lead weekly/daily shift meetings to discuss updates and address issues.
• Coordinate with personnel to maintain and repair company vehicles.
• Monitor misrouted/damaged shipments to determine root cause and implement corrective action.
• Work with customers to resolve freight issues.
• Ensure proper handling of paperwork.
• Be able to perform the duties of supervised positions to meet customer service expectations.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
