CrossCountry Freight Solutions (CCFS) is seeking safety‑conscious Class A Linehaul Drivers for the Sioux Falls, SD area. The role involves transferring freight between fixed terminals, hooking/unhooking trailers, and completing required paperwork per DOT and company policy.

Home daily with weekends off, promoting a healthy work‑life balance. Shifts run Monday–Friday (6:30pm start) on a route from Sioux Falls to Watertown to Fargo, with pay of 0.76 per mile for singles and 0.80 per mile for

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum age 21.
• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• No DUI/DWI within past 3 years.
• No more than 3 traffic violations in past 3 years.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain; renewals reimbursable.
• Must have Doubles endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Hook up and haul trailers per dispatch instructions.
• Ensure shipping documents are ready for DOT inspection and accompany shipments.
• Operate tractor-trailer for long distances and extended periods.

JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Hook up and haul trailers between our customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or immediate supervisor
• Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point
• Operate tractor-trailer combination for extended periods of time, over long distances

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Skills and Knowledge

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years of age
• 1 year of commercial driving experience
• No DUI’s or DWI’s (in the past 3 years)
• No more than 3 traffic violations (in past 3 years)
• Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain - renewals reimbursable
• Must have Doubles endorsement
• This position requires successful completion of a pre-employment skills assessment

Physical Demands

• Must be able to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle.
• Must be able to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for a distance of up to 20 feet.
• Must be able to hook and unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, to manually lower and raise landing gear, to operate fifth wheel release levers, to lock and release pintle-hooks, to attach and release safety chains, to open and close cargo doors, to climb into and out of vehicles, and to fuel and check oil/coolant levels of vehicles.
