The Operations Supervisor provides direct supervision to full and part-time Building Attendants, specifically in operations and maintenance.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and at least three (3) years of experience in an operations role within an Arena, Convention Center, or Public Assembly Facility.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in setup/housekeeping, event coordination, or related fields.
- A degree in Facility Management or a related field may substitute for some years of experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Availability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
Job Functions :
- Manage all services and activities involved in the operation of arena and exhibition hall spaces.
- Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate front-line staff.
- Coordinate staff training, including for temporary workers.
- Coach employees to address deficiencies and implement performance improvements.
- Ensure staff safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Handle disciplinary actions and terminations as necessary.
- Assist in planning, directing, and reviewing facility operations work plans.
- Participate in budget development and management, including forecasting, monitoring, and adjusting expenditures.
- Oversee event setup, coordinate facility arrangements, and direct changeovers.
- Schedule changeover crews for setup, cleaning, and teardown, adjusting as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
