DocGo is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Ridgewood, NY, to oversee EMS field operations and crew performance. The role centers on safety, dispatch support, and ensuring timely service delivery in coordination with fleet maintenance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in EMS, EMT/BLS certificates, and strong communication and organizational skills. The position is full-time with competitive hourly pay and standard benefits, requiring on-site work across NY areas.

Qualifications

• EMS experience required in field operations.
• EMT and BLS certifications are required.
• Valid NY State Driver’s license required.
• 3+ years in a supervisory role preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy is essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Performs field checks on crews/trucks to ensure safety and standards.
• Troubleshoots issues with Operations Manager or Fleet Mechanic.
• Assists crews with lift assists in the field.
• Maintains supplies and equipment for trucks and orders.
• Manages call-outs and fills gaps as needed.
• Educates crews on PCS; assists with PCS documentation.
• Supports dispatch to ensure scheduling efficiency.
• Transports vehicles as directed by Fleet or Operations.
• Reports to Operations Manager and completes tasks timely.
• Attends meetings and maintains required certifications.
• Performs related duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs Field checks on crews/trucks to ensure safety and operational standards are met
• Troubleshoots issues to the Operations Manager/Fleet Mechanic for resolution
• Assists Crews with lift assists in the field
• Helps maintain supplies/equipment for trucks and ordering
• Assists with managing call-outs by contacting staff to fill operational gaps as needed.
• Educates the crews on the PCS and assists with any missing PCS’s
• Understands the dispatch process and is able to assist dispatch as needed to ensure scheduling efficiencies and optimization.
• Transport vehicles as needed by direction of the Fleet Mechanic or Operational personnel.
• Reports directly to the Operations Manager and completes tasks assigned in a timely manner.
• Reports to the required location and makes themselves available for company meetings in other locations as needed.
• Completes daily operations reports, attends all meetings as required, and maintains all relevant certifications
• Perform additional related duties as needed

Requirements

• 5+ years of EMS experience (Required)
• EMT certificate & BLS (Basic Life Saving) Certificate (Required)
• Valid NY State Driver’s license (required)
• 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role (preferred)
• CEVO-4 Certificate
• Knowledge of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability)
• Problem solving skills, attention to detail, & organization skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Staff scheduling experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Managing workflows, creating team schedules and delegating tasks
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and helpful under stress
• Ability to work both in NY five boroughs, and Long Island
