Job summary

MSI in Phoenix is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee the warehouse floor, assign shifts, and manage time and labor across 10–20 staff while ensuring safety, quality, and on-time shipping. You will coordinate with shift supervisors and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires hands-on leadership, experience training teams of 25–50 and proficiency with tablets and Excel. This is a full-time daytime role with overtime potential and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Ability to use tablets (iPad).
  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and oral English language communication.
  • Provide high level of customer service.
  • Good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assign and supervise shift staffing for 10–20 employees.
  • Maintain facility quality processes.
  • Ensure on-time shipping and ensure receipts and shipments meet standards.
  • Supervise realignment and continuous improvement activities.
  • Manage operational activities to support DC layout and goals.
  • Provide direct supervision to the shift supervisors.
  • Provide leadership and training to 25–50 team members.
  • Drive leadership development and professional growth.
  • Oversee facility/equipment maintenance and supplies.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and safety compliance.

About the Role

Summary: The Operations Supervisor is directly responsible for the day to day supervision of the warehouse floor, assigning the work schedule to the team members, and supervising the time management of the warehouse shipments.

Work Hours

Monday to Friday from 07:00 AM to 05:00 PM, 2 Saturday(s) a month from 07:30 AM to 02:30 PM

Compensation

Hourly, non‑exempt position pays from $23.75 to $26.75 per hour; overtime at 1.5 times base rate. New hires earn between $50,400 and $66,700 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.

Responsibilities
  • Assure all functions on the shift are properly staffed to execute varied work volume, manage flow of orders to the floor to optimize operation for approximately 10‑20 employees.
  • Maintain and manage facility quality process.
  • Ensure on‑time shipping performance; work closely with direct reports to ensure receipts and shipments meet standards.
  • Supervise realignment activities to ensure maximum optimization of the facility.
  • Manage operational activities to ensure DC layout and continuous improvement activities support goals of the operation.
  • Provide direct supervision to the shift supervisors. Hold them accountable for their performance and the performance of their teams.
  • Provide leadership, training, and supervision to 25 to 50 team members.
  • Continuously work towards increasing the leadership capability of the team and drives professional growth.
  • Responsible for all facility/equipment maintenance and supplies.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and overseeing safety compliance.
