DATTCO is currently searching for a full-time Operations Supervisor for our school bus team in North Haven, CT. The Operations Supervisor is a key role that coordinates and directs the daily activity of the terminal and is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of all drivers and vehicles.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for scheduling drivers and effectively dispatching fixed route service and charters
• Assist drivers with directions and customer itineraries
• Monitor attendance
• Answer routine phone calls from the Board of Education, drivers, and parents
• Perform clerical, filing, and reporting duties
• Manage driver's weekly payroll
• Interview driver candidates for employment
• Discipline drivers when necessary
• Routing

Position Requirements

• Commercial driver's license (CDL) with P and S endorsements
• At least one year of transportation experience preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility and self-motivation
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Team player
• Good customer and employee relations skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and computerized routing software
