Family Independence Administration provides temporary help to individuals and families with social service and economic needs to assist them in reaching self-sufficiency via essential and diverse programs and services, such as temporary cash assistance, SNAP, childcare, eviction prevention services, adult protective services, job training, employment plans and support, domestic violence assistance, child support enforcement, etc.
Under the general direction and supervision of the Assistant Manager, the Operation Supervisor oversees large-scale projects, impacting workflow and case management within the agency's centers. The Office of Central Processing (OCP) is a collaborative effort among the Human Resources Administration, other New York City, State and Federal agencies, and private sector businesses such as utility companies that supply services to temporary assistance participants.
