Job summary

Loomis is seeking an Operations Supervisor to implement policies, manage daily armored routes and vault operations, and collaborate with management to sustain a secure, customer-focused operation.

The role emphasizes leadership, safety training, and process improvements across dispatch, route planning and security procedures in a fast-paced cash-handling environment.

Qualifications

  • A valid firearms permit.
  • A strong, positive leadership and supervisory presence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in transportation and warehousing, transportation logistics, or related field.
  • Experience in banking or retail cash and ATM operations preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Complete and maintain scheduling/routing on a daily basis.
  • Oversee armored and ATM route, dispatch, vault and terminal operations.
  • Maintain effectiveness and efficiency of route, terminal and vault operations.
  • Ensure safety of employees, vehicles and facilities through training and policy enforcement.
  • Ensure security of cargo and terminal including opening/closing procedures.
  • Investigate accidents and process required paperwork.
  • Develop and maintain customer service capabilities among operations staff.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and solve logistical issues.
  • Coordinate with sales, other branches and vendors to implement operational solutions.
  • Control overtime hours and vacations; maintain operational efficiency.
  • Communicate with all employees to resolve issues/complaints.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager/Branch Manager.
  • Provide leadership dedicated to professionalism and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, interview, train and supervise operations personnel.
  • Oversee maintenance of vehicles, forklifts and equipment.
  • Emergency response to injuries, security incidents and investigations.
  • Maintain route/vault data (paper and electronic).

Job description

The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for implementing and administering Loomis policies andprocedures as well as monitoring and controlling daily operations and assistingwith long-term operation of armored car routes and the cash vault. The Operations Supervisor will work alongside Management to develop, maintain, and supervise a professional employee-centeredculture, a safe and secure operation, a high level of service delivery, andcost effective and productive operations.
This includes operational responsibility for all route operations(armed and ATM), vault and facility security operations as directed by theOperations Manager/Branch Manager.
Typical Duties / Responsibilities:
  1. Complete and maintaining scheduling/routing on daily basis

  2. Oversight and coordination of armored and ATM route, dispatch, first-line ATMmaintenance, vault and terminal operations.

  3. Maintaining effectiveness and efficiency of route, terminal and vault operations.

  4. Safety of employees, vehicles, and facilities through training, monitoring andreinforcement of policies and procedures

  5. Security of cargo and terminal through training, monitoring, and enforcement of policiesand procedures including terminal opening and closing.

  6. Investigating accidents and processing required paperwork

  7. Developing and maintaining customer service capabilities among all operations staff.

  8. Responding to customer inquires and or complaints and solving logistical issues.

  9. Coordinating with sales, other Division branches and departments, Division and corporatestaff, other carriers, and vendors in creating and implementing viableoperational solutions to new customers.

  10. Controlling overtime hours. Monitoring employee vacation schedules. Maintaining effectiveness and efficiency of operational functions.

  11. Communication with all employees to Immediately resolve any outstanding issues and/orcomplaints.

  12. Completionof any and all additional responsibilities that are assigned by the OperationsManager and/or other Management Team Members on an “as needed” basis.

  13. Provideleadership that is dedicated to professionalism, continuous improvement, andexceeding challenging goals and objectives.

  14. Recruiting,interviewing, testing, selecting, training and supervising of operations personnel.

  15. Oversightand coordination of maintenance of vehicles, forklifts and other equipment.

  16. Emergency response to include response to employee injuries, facility security incidents,vehicle incidents and security investigations.

  17. Manipulation and maintenance of route and vault data to include manual paperwork andelectronic data.

    18.All other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager/Branch Manager.

    19. Ability to obtain Medical Examiners Certificate via US Department of Transportation approved medical examiners

    *Salary commensurate on experience and skill set.

    Skills and Qualifications:

  18. A valid firearms permit.

  19. A strong, positive, leadership andsupervisory presence proven through professional experience is required.

  20. Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills and the ability to teach, coach, and present to small andlarge groups is required.

  21. Experience in transportation andwarehousing, transportation logistics, or a related field required.

  22. Experience in banking or retail cash,and ATM operations preferred.

  23. Excellent computer skills and a workingknowledge of Microsoft Office programs required.
