Duration: Full-Time

Schedule: "block schedule" and will only work 2 out of 5 weekends a month.

Week day - 8 hour shift (7AM-11AM) OR (7PM - 11PM)

Required Skills & Experience

• 2-3 years of experience MINIMUM in a management or supervisory role.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment such as troubleshooting, performing maintenance, installations, etc.
• Experience working in a plant environment or a similar working environment.
• Working knowledge of union interaction.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• EMS background or experience as a volunteer firefighter.
• Experience working in the petrochemical industry.
• Experience working with pumps, flow meters, and similar equipment.

Job Description

Insight Global is searching for an Operations Supervisor for the off shift with a major petroleum additives manufacturer in Sauget, IL. This position is responsible for overall safe operations and security of the production plant during off-shift hours, weekends, holidays, and for keeping the plant operative through safe effective use of a unionized work force.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Able to coordinate in plant emergency situations.
• Familiar with labor relations and the bargaining agreement.
• Provides plant supervision and EHS leadership to a closed union shop during the off hours.
• Able to trouble-shoot process and mechanical systems in a production environment with minimal support.
• Ability to follow and enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Focuses on continuous improvement and process enhancements. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving problems.
• Provides training and daily guidance to the chemical operators and mechanics during the off hours.
• Assist with maintaining and updating the unit operating procedures to ensure proper documentation of manufacturing guidelines.
• Provides Incident Command and leads Emergency response efforts during non-business hours.
• Secure scene and perform initial and follow-up investigations on all safety and reportable environmental incidents (spills, air emissions, and waste discharge) that occur on shift.
• Communicate with plant management on status of EHS, operations, security, logistics and all other issues on off hours.
• Knowledge of mechanical reliability effort.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
