Job summary

ATC Transportation LLC is seeking an Operations Supervisor to assist in managing inventories and directing daily terminal operations to meet cost, quality, and time targets. You will supervise drivers and yard staff, provide feedback, maintain metrics and documentation, and ensure compliance with all state and federal laws.

You will resolve transport problems, communicate with management to improve efficiency, and implement safety improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3 years’ experience in operations-related field preferred.
• Must be able to traverse the Terminal facility.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workflow of the Terminal.
• Provide feedback to drivers and yard staff.
• Resolve problems concerning transportation of trucks, driver issues, terminal staff issues and customer issues.
• Maintain metrics, reports, documentation, driver records, and staff training on safety.
• Monitor driver productivity while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.
• Plan or implement improvements to increase safety and reduce injuries.
• Communicate delivery information to management to improve efficiency, speed, or quality of delivery.
• Respond to driver questions and concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing the daily workflow of the Terminal.
• Provide constructive and timely feedback to drivers and yard staff.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Resolve problems concerning transportation of trucks, driver issues, terminal staff issues and customer issues.
• Maintain metrics, reports, documentation, driver records, and staff training on safety.
• Monitor driver productivity while ensuring drivers are following regulatory or legal requirements with all state and federal laws.
• Issue notices and recommend corrective actions when infractions or problems are found.
• Plan or implement improvements to increase the safety of the company staff, reducing accidents and injuries.
• Communicate delivery information to management to improve efficiency, speed, or quality of delivery.
• Respond to driver questions and concerns.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
