Qualifications

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing.
  • Experience in Ready-to-Eat (RTE) or CPG environments.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and quality systems.
  • Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily production operations to meet safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency goals.
  • Coach, develop, and lead production team members while maintaining a positive, accountable environment.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, SQF standards.

Operations Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead daily production activities in our fast-paced Ready-to-Eat (RTE) food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring food safety compliance, developing team members, and achieving production goals while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong background in food manufacturing, a passion for employee development, and the ability to effectively communicate with a bilingual workforce.

What You'll Do
  • Supervise daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency goals are achieved.
  • Lead, coach, and develop production team members while fostering a positive and accountable work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, SQF, and company food safety standards.
  • Monitor production schedules, labor utilization, downtime, waste, and operational performance metrics.
  • Conduct shift meetings and communicate priorities, expectations, and performance goals.
  • Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Sanitation teams to support operational objectives.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Enforce workplace safety policies and investigate incidents, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
  • Maintain accurate production records and communicate operational updates to management.
  • Translate and communicate operational information, policies, and training materials between English- and Spanish-speaking employees when needed.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing.
  • Experience working in a Ready-to-Eat (RTE), food processing, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing environment.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and quality systems.
  • Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Food Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Experience in SQF, BRC, or other GFSI-certified facilities.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Knowledge of USDA and FDA regulatory requirements.
