Job summary

Ben Aris LLC is seeking an Operations Superintendent in Washington to oversee day-to-day refinery operations, lead the on-shift operations team, and partner with HR for talent management.

The role reports to the Operations Manager and focuses on safety, environmental compliance, quality and reliability goals within the Crude Unit. Previous process/operations leadership and a strong safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years refinery experience.
• Front-line supervisory experience preferred.
• Salaried employees may have unlimited PTO and holidays in a year.

• Work with Tech Support on operating adjustments and long term trends for safety, quality, and production targets.
• Collaborate with inspection and maintenance on constraints, maintenance prioritization and abnormal situations.

About the job Operations Superintendent - Washington

Operations Superintendent

Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will provide support and address technical issues/plans for Operations department, specifically pertaining to the Crude Unit. As part of your specific responsibilities, in the following areas, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Refinery.

• Supervises on-shift Operations team consisting of, day coordinator, front-line supervisors, and hourly workforce to meet safety, environmental, production, quality and reliability goals.
• Partners with HR for administration of talent acquisition, performance management, and employees relations, for Operations Department personnel.
• Member of refinery's Operations Leadership Team to set direction and lead implementation of optimization improvements.

Main Responsibilities

• Be responsible for crude unit equipment, process, and technical operations.
• Work with Tech Support on operating adjustments/long term trends to ensure safety, environmental compliance, quality, and target production.
• Work with inspection and maintenance on equipment constraints, limits, maintenance prioritization, and abnormal situations
• Work with the controls group on new control strategies, DCS graphics, and alarm management

Experience

• 6+ years refinery experience . Front-line supervisory experience would also be preferred, however not mandatory.
• Prior experience as a Process Engineer, Operations Engineer, or Operations Supervisor
• Salaried employees are eligible for unlimited PTO and twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year
