Job summary

Elevate Human Capital seeks a Field Operations Superintendent to oversee Delaware Basin water, gas, and oil midstream activities. This role manages Operations Supervisors, who lead Foremen and field crews, ensuring safe, reliable, compliant operations while controlling costs.

The ideal candidate has extensive oil/gas/water field ops experience, proven supervisory skills, and strong communication with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of field operations experience in oil, gas or water midstream.
• 6+ years of supervisory experience leading other employees.
• Proven ability to develop supervisors and build cross-discipline teams.
• Working knowledge of OSHA PSM, DOT/PHMSA, TCEQ and Railroad Commission of Texas.
• Experience forecasting and managing operating budgets and controlling expenses.
• Strong communication skills to present complex topics to senior leaders.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead area performance across safety, environmental compliance, reliability, throughput, and operating costs.
• Guide Supervisors through operational challenges involving capacity, equipment performance, and customer commitments that require decisions beyond their authority.
• Identify issues affecting multiple facilities or crews, address root causes, and ensure regulatory findings are resolved.
• Prepare operating expense forecasts, review budget variances, and manage spending with Supervisors and Foremen.
• Set expectations for Supervisors, provide coaching, and develop Foremen and field teams.
• Partner with other Superintendents and teams on infrastructure and capacity plans.
• Model sound judgment, integrity, and high standards for work quality and environmental stewardship.

Elevate Human Capital is recruiting a Field Operations Superintendent to oversee water, gas, and oil operations in an assigned area of the Delaware Basin. This leader will manage Operations Supervisors, who in turn lead Foremen and field crews. The position is responsible for safe, reliable, compliant operations while managing costs and developing the area’s leadership team.

Responsibilities

• Lead area performance across safety, environmental compliance, reliability, throughput, and operating costs.

• Guide Supervisors through operational challenges involving capacity, equipment performance, and customer commitments that require decisions beyond their authority.

• Identify issues affecting multiple facilities or crews, address their root causes, and ensure regulatory findings are resolved.

• Prepare operating expense forecasts, review budget variances, and work with Supervisors and Foremen to manage spending and improve performance.

• Set expectations for Supervisors, provide regular coaching, and hold them accountable for developing Foremen and field teams.

• Partner with other Superintendents and functional teams on infrastructure projects, capacity plans, and shared operating priorities.

• Model sound judgment, integrity, and high standards for work quality and environmental stewardship.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of experience in oil, gas, or water midstream field operations, including gathering, compression, treating, or processing facilities.

• At least 6 years of supervisory experience, with responsibility for leaders who manage other employees.

• A record of developing supervisors and building effective teams across multiple operating disciplines.

• Working knowledge of applicable OSHA PSM, DOT/PHMSA, TCEQ, and Railroad Commission of Texas requirements.

• Experience forecasting and managing operating budgets, analyzing variances, and controlling expenses.

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to present complex operational matters clearly to senior leaders and collaborate across functions.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.

Education

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An Engineering Technology degree, related education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Location and Schedule

• Candidates must live within 75 miles of Orla or Kermit, Texas. Domestic relocation assistance is available. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week and supports operations that run around the clock, including scheduled 24/7 on-call availability
• Expected travel is 0–15%.
