Job summary

Energy Transfer LP is seeking an Operations Supervisor who is self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety and integrity. You will oversee personnel performing pipeline operations and maintenance while advancing our safety culture and adherence to policies.

You will supervise staff, conduct performance reviews, facilitate safety meetings, and coordinate with other departments to maximize efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Strong mechanical aptitude applied to pipeline equipment and procedures.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and apply operating manuals and equipment instructions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pipeline personnel to perform duties safely and efficiently.
• Administer performance reviews and disciplinary actions when warranted.
• Lead safety meetings and foster a strong safety culture.
• Oversee pipeline operations and maintenance through the director.
• Provide guidance to resolve operational problems and coordinate with shared services.
• Support capital and expense project work through commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
• Prepare and manage expense budgets and reforecast as needed.
• Know emergency plans and respond promptly to incidents.
• Understand 49 CFR 192 and related pipeline standards.
• Recommend system improvements via annual budgeting processes.
• Support EHS training activities and compliance.
• Provide supervisory relief during emergencies or business needs.

Summary:

Energy Transfer is seeking an Operations Supervisor that is a self-motivated individual with a high regard for safety and integrity. This individual will oversee personnel performing pipeline operations and maintenance activities, while furthering the continual development and strengthening of our safety culture, adherence to all Partnership policies and procedures, and operate within the budget constraints set forth annually by the Partnership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise pipeline personnel in performing their job duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Administer performance reviews for subordinates and administer disciplinary action when warranted.
• Attend and facilitate Safety meetings and be an active leader in developing and maintaining our desired safety culture.
• Supervision of pipeline operations and maintenance activities through the director.
• Provide guidance to resolve operational problems as required. Work unified with shared service departments to maintain
  consistency with all areas of business and maximize benefits of all departments.
• Support of capital and expense projects through project commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Prepare and manage expense budget to operate and maintain the facilities at an appropriate cost and perform budget reforecasting
  as appropriate.
• Knowledgeable of emergency plans and procedures to direct prompt and appropriate action in an event.
• Knowledgeable of 49 CFR 192 and pipeline/facility construction, maintenance and operation.
• Provide recommendations for system operational improvements through submission of capital and expense projects as part of the annual budgeting process.
• Support and assist with all EHS training activities, updates and compliance with EHS policies and procedures.
• Provide supervisory relief in various areas in the event of a pipeline emergency or business need.

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• High School diploma - associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years industry experience required for this position.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.Proficient use with Microsoft Office software products.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Sound mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and apply information in operating and equipment manuals.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to adverse weather.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
• Physical capabilities of standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders and stairs, stretching, reaching over shoulder height,
  lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Overnight travel will be required.
• This position is on call 24x7.
• Managerial employees must live within 40 miles of their reporting location.
