Job summary

Oak View Group in Minnesota seeks an Operations Staff member to assist with event setup and cleanup, and to maintain the arena facilities. You will help arrange chairs and tables, monitor during events, and respond to issues as directed by the Operations Manager.

This part-time role pays $14.00-$16.00 per hour and includes benefits like a 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching. The position supports the Thief River Falls Complex and requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with facilities maintenance is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on events, including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift heavy objects frequently.
• Familiarity with ice operations such as ice removal or ice installation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily maintenance of the building and equipment.
• Assist with yearly ice removal and installation.
• Supports with building overall maintenance.
• Assist with maintaining all hockey-related areas.
• Cleaning locker rooms, emptying trash, sweeping floors, mopping floors, and all other jobs assigned.
• Perform general labor, including removal of dasher advertising, removing glass, setting of tables and chairs, building stages, setting pipe and drape, detailed cleaning, exterior maintenance, snow removal, painting, etc.
• Able to assist with mowing, weed eating and other duties as assigned at the MEC and Tourist Park
• Complete end-of-shift duties when scheduled.
• Work a flexible schedule based on events, including nights, weekends, and holidays when needed
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Summary

The Operations Staff team member is responsible for helping with the setup/clean-up of events as well as maintenance and upkeep of the venue. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, this position prepares the arena for events, including arranging chairs and tables, athletic floors, and monitors and troubleshoots during the event to respond to malfunctions and other needs.

This role pays an hourly rate of $14.00-$16.00

About The Venue

The Thief River Falls Complex is a multi-venue complex in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. The complex includes the Ralph Engelstad Arena, the Huck Olson Memorial Civic Center, the Multi Events Center, and the Thief River Falls Tourist Park.
