Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking part-time Operations Staff to assist in setup, run, and breakdown of seating, tables, staging, and equipment for events at Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex. The role pays an hourly rate of $10.00-$12.00 with 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching benefits.

Responsibilities include converting arenas and conference rooms for various events, following supervisor directions, and performing light cleaning while ensuring safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a team or independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to take/follow directions and remain flexible.
• Strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude.
• Must frequently move and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assists with converting Arena from one function to another (e.g., basketball to concerts, theater, meetings, and other functions).
• Assists with converting conference rooms for events (conferences, banquets, meetings, etc.).
• Follows directions of supervisors; sets up and breaks down stages, seating, tables, conference rooms, etc.
• Performs light cleaning and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Follows all safety precautions and emergency procedures; reports safety and damage concerns to the Manager.

Operations Staff will perform a multitude of tasks to setup, run, and breakdown of all needed seating, table, staging, equipment for events hosted at Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex.

This role pays an hourly rate of $10.00-$12.00

• Assists with converting conference rooms from one function to another (i.e., conferences, banquets, meetings and other types of functions).


• Follows directions of supervisors; sets up and breaks down stages, seating, tables, conference rooms, etc.

• Follows all safety precautions and emergency procedures established at the facility. Reports any safety and damage concerns to the Manager.

• The employee must frequently move and/or lift 50 lbs. (some heavier lifts are team lifts).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
