Job summary

Stellar Senior Living is seeking an exceptional Operations Specialist to lead complex senior living operations across a portfolio. You will step into vacant communities, stabilize operations, and onboard new acquisitions, traveling extensively to align leadership and staff with Stellar's standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years as an Executive Director/Administrator, hold an AL license, and possess strong P&L and occupancy growth experience.

Qualifications

• Executive Director/Administrator with 3–5+ years in AL/MC/IL.
• Licensed AL Administrator; multi-state experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; healthcare admin/business preferred.
• P&L management, occupancy growth, and department head leadership.

Responsibilities

• Interim ED leadership: oversee operations, care quality, staffing, financials, compliance.
• New community onboarding: integrate acquisitions into Stellar's systems and culture.
• Flex support: cover operations or sales as needs shift; coordinate with regions.
• Team development: mentor teams to operate independently after transition.

Job description

We are looking for an exceptional Operations Specialistwho can work with leadership and residents in any setting!

This role is built for a senior living leader who's at their best walking into an unfamiliar building and figuring out exactly what it needs. You'll travel across our portfolio, filling interim Executive Director gaps, stabilizing operations during transitions, and leading onboarding for new communities joining Stellar. Some weeks you're running a community day-to-day. Other weeks you're focused on sales support, operational turnaround, or acquisition onboarding.

What You'll Do

• Interim ED Leadership: Own all community operations — care quality, staffing, financials, compliance, resident/family experience — during vacancies or transitions
• New Community onboarding: Lead onboarding of newly acquired communities into Stellar's systems, culture, and standards; orient incoming leadership teams
• Flex Support: Step into operations or sales as community needs shift; partner with Regional Directors on prioritizing support
• Team Development: Mentor and coach in-place teams so they can run independently after you leave

Qualifications

Pay Transparency

Pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Washington's pay transparency law, the expected compensation range for this position is $110,000–$140,000/year. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.
