Job summary

JOHNLEONARD, a Boston law firm, seeks an Operations Specialist for its Trust Operations team. The role targets experienced investment operations professionals with client billing, account administration, reconciliations, asset transfers, and custodial platforms expertise.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in Trust Operations, Wealth Operations, Investment Operations, or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new systems and operational processes
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, sound judgment, and innovative thinking
  • Experience with Addepar preferred
  • Familiarity with SEI Trust, Fidelity Wealthscape, and Charles Schwab platforms is a plus
  • Experience with Practifi or Salesforce CRM is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update client and account data across Addepar and custodial platforms
  • Establish, maintain, and reconcile client billing configurations, including fee schedules, billing frequencies, household aggregation, asset exclusions, discounts, billing start dates, and other fee-related parameters
  • Provide daily wealth operations support, including cash movements, asset transfers, account openings, account maintenance, and account closings
  • Process and monitor incoming and outgoing securities transfers, including ACAT and DTC transfers
  • Coordinate with custodians, counterparties, Trust Advisors, Portfolio Managers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate asset transfers and resolve transaction exceptions
  • Review and validate transfer documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with firm policies, regulatory requirements, and custodian standards
  • Track asset transfer requests from initiation through completion, proactively communicating status updates and escalating issues
  • Perform daily cash reconciliations, review custodian exception reports, research discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, workflows, controls, and system utilization
  • Maintain current knowledge of wealth management and trust operations trends

Job description

Salary Range: $65K-$85K | Bonus eligible

Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours/week | Monday-Friday

Required: 3+ years of progressive experience in Trust Operations, Wealth Operations, or Investment Operations
