About The Role

The Operations Site Technician is an experienced hands-on site support professional responsible for helping meet the day-to-day operational needs of the site. This is a highly flexible, “do-what-needs-to-be-done” role that may perform a wide variety of duties based on site needs, including stocking beverages and supplies, cleaning and maintaining restrooms and common areas, moving materials or equipment, supporting site setup and breakdown, performing basic handyman work and repairs, completing preventive maintenance, and assisting with other operational or facilities-related tasks. The Operations Site Technician is expected to identify needs, take initiative, and willingly step in wherever support is required to maintain a clean, safe, functional, and well-operated site.

Key Responsibilities
Site Specific Support
  • Provide janitorial cleaning twice a day to the on-site restrooms.
  • Stock and maintain the drink stations ensuring proper rotation of items using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance activities.
  • Support troubleshooting and coordination with contractors, vendors, and service providers when specialized outside services are required.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment information, inspection documentation, and other required records.
  • Assist with safety, quality, and facility inspections and support remediation of identified deficiencies.
  • Help reinforce established SOPs, maintenance standards, and quality expectations.
  • Perform work independently with limited direction while appropriately escalating issues outside the position’s expertise or authority.
  • Fulfill all assigned duties in a timely, safe, and efficient manner.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • Support scheduled and unscheduled safety, quality, compliance, and facility inspections.
  • Assist with completing corrective actions identified through inspections, audits, or facility assessments.
  • Identify and promptly report unsafe conditions, hazards, equipment deficiencies, and other potential risks.
  • Follow company safety policies, procedures, manufacturer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards when performing maintenance activities.
  • Properly use, inspect, maintain, and store required personal protective equipment (PPE), tools, and safety equipment.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe maintenance, mechanical, storage, and work areas.
Tools, Equipment & Inventory
  • Monitor maintenance tools (Janitorial), equipment, parts, materials, and supply inventories.
  • Communicate replenishment needs to ensure appropriate materials and equipment are available for scheduled and emergency maintenance.
  • Properly operate, inspect, maintain, and secure company-issued tools, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning tools and equipment in accordance with established procedures.
Contractor & Vendor Coordination
  • Assist with coordinating contractors, vendors, and service providers performing maintenance, repair, or installation work at assigned facilities.
  • Provide appropriate site access and communicate facility needs and work requirements to service providers.
  • Assist the site manager with monitoring contractor work and communicate progress, completion status, or identified deficiencies to facility leadership.
  • Support verification that contracted work has been completed as requested before closing maintenance items.
Documentation & Work Order Management
  • Maintain accurate and timely maintenance records, work orders, inspection documentation, equipment logs, fuel records, and other required facility documentation.
  • Document completed repairs, preventative maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and outstanding maintenance needs.
  • Communicate facility conditions, completed work, unresolved issues, and potential operational risks to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Complete assigned work orders and maintenance activities accurately and within established timelines.
Operational & Emergency Support
  • Respond to urgent facility and equipment issues and assist with emergency maintenance needs as required.
  • Support continuity of facility operations by prioritizing maintenance issues based on safety, operational impact, and urgency.
  • Work collaboratively with facility leadership, operations personnel, Safety & Compliance, contractors, and other departments to resolve facility-related issues.
  • Support facility setup, mobilization, demobilization, and other operational activities as assigned.
  • Fulfill all assigned responsibilities safely, professionally, efficiently, and in accordance with established expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on operational and facility needs.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of janitorial and facilities maintenance, construction, skilled trades, or comparable experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • For internal progression, typically a minimum of 12 months of successful performance as a Facilities Technician I with THS, unless waived based on prior directly applicable experience, specialized credentials, or demonstrated technical expertise.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot problems, identify root causes, and complete jobs within the employee's demonstrated area of competency.
  • Ability to safely and effectively use applicable janitorial equipment, power tools, hand tools, plumbing equipment, grounds-maintenance equipment, and other equipment required for the position.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, specifications, work orders, preventive maintenance requirements, and applicable technical documentation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; bilingualism is preferred.
  • Continued employment is subject to maintaining all required licenses and certifications in active status without suspension or revocation.
  • Be able to lift 40 lbs. regularly. Bend, crouch, repetitive motions.
