Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is offering a paid 12-week internship to students pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related fields. You will gain hands-on experience in the wholesale grocery industry, supporting supply chain operations and safety initiatives across regions.

You will work with a team, attend meetings, and complete a final internship presentation that demonstrates learning objectives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Sophomore year completed by internship start is preferred.
• Strong academic standing (GPA 3.0+ preferred).
• Major in Occupational Health and Safety or related field is desired.

Position Overview

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• This internship will support supply chain operations across the New England/I-91 corridor and Pennsylvania.
• Assist in daily operations and administrative tasks within the assigned department.
• Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and other documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
• Attend meetings, take notes, and contribute ideas and insights.
• Aid in further enhancing department tools, templates and methodologies
• Gain exposure and knowledge on department functionalities
• Develop positive professional relationships across departments
• Complete special projects as assigned by your manager
• Complete an end‑of‑internship presentation to showcase the completion of learning objectives
• Support warehouse safety engagement programs to include safety committee meetings, safety blitzes, EHS walks, fatal risk audits, incident investigations, etc.
• Support warehouse safety regulatory compliance initiatives and IIPP (injury illness prevention program)
• Utilize the Benchmark Gensuite platform to complete tasks and projects
• Partner with Warehouse Operations, Field Training, Human Resources, etc on shared initiatives

We’re searching for interns that are:

• Are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program from an accredited college or university
• Will have completed their Sophomore year by the start of the internship.
• In good academic standing, with a preferred minimum GPA of 3.0
• Currently majoring in Occupational Health And Safety or related fields.
• Proficient with Google’s suite of products preferred
• Have proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required)
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Demonstrate strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively
• Are organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Bring curiosity, initiative and willingness to learn and contribute
