Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC invites qualified students to join our 12-week paid internship program in the United States. You will gain hands-on exposure to wholesale grocery supply chain operations from New England through the I-91 corridor and Pennsylvania.

You will work with a dedicated mentor and participate in professional development courses, shadowing opportunities, and team-building activities. A focus on safety, documentation, and cross-department collaboration is emphasized

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Currently Sophomore year completed by start of internship.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Major in Occupational Health And Safety or related field is a plus.

• Prepare presentations, reports and other documentation.

Position Overview

Job Description

Responsibilities

• This internship will support supply chain operations across the New England/I-91 corridor and Pennsylvania.
• Assist in daily operations and administrative tasks within the assigned department.
• Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and other documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
• Attend meetings, take notes, and contribute ideas and insights.
• Aid in further enhancing department tools, templates and methodologies.
• Gain exposure and knowledge on department functionalities.
• Develop positive professional relationships across departments.
• Complete special projects as assigned by your manager.
• Complete an end-of-internship presentation to showcase the completion of learning objectives.
• Support warehouse safety engagement programs to include safety committee meetings, safety blitzes, EHS walks, fatal risk audits, incident investigations, etc.
• Support warehouse safety regulatory compliance initiatives and IIPP (injury illness prevention program).
• Utilize the Benchmark Gensuite platform to complete tasks and projects.
• Partner with Warehouse Operations, Field Training, Human Resources, etc on shared initiatives.

We’re searching for interns that are:

• Are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program from an accredited college or university
• Will have completed their Sophomore year by the start of the internship.
• In good academic standing, with a preferred minimum GPA of 3.0
• Currently majoring in Occupational Health And Safety or related fields.
• Proficient with Google’s suite of products preferred
• Have proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required)
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Demonstrate strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively
• Are organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Bring curiosity, initiative and willingness to learn and contribute
