Job summary

Internships at C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC offer hands-on experience from distribution centers to offices. You will work with interns and employees to gain exposure to IT solutions, attend meetings, and contribute to process improvements.

We provide dedicated mentoring, professional development, and paid compensation for a 12-week program from May to August, located in Keene, NH with a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• GPA of 3.0 or better and junior/senior standing at internship time.
• Majors include MIS, BIS, Business Analytics, or IT.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python (preferred) and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operations and administrative tasks within the assigned department.
• Support preparation of presentations, reports, and documentation.
• Collaborate with team to improve processes and efficiency.
• Attend meetings, take notes, and contribute ideas.
• Develop and maintain internal tools and templates.
• Shadow team members and participate in business requirement meetings.
• Test applications during development cycles.

Position Overview

As an Intern you will have the unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in the wholesale grocery industry, contribute to meaningful projects, and better understand what goes into running one of the largest privately held companies in the US. Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily operations and administrative tasks within the assigned department.
• Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and other documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
• Attend meetings, take notes, and contribute ideas and insights.
• Aid in further enhancing department tools, templates and methodologies
• Gain exposure and knowledge on department functionalities
• Develop positive professional relationships across departments
• Complete special projects as assigned by your manager
• Complete an end‑of‑internship presentation to showcase the completion of learning objectives
• Support the production and maintenance of internal tools and applications used by multiple departments within the organization
• Shadow existing team members and attend business requirement meetings to understand how business requirements are translated to IT solutions
• Work with developer teams to explain business need
• Test applications during various phases of the development cycle

We're searching for interns that are

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program from an accredited university
• In good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or better
• Junior or Senior standing at the time of the internship
• Currently majoring in Management Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Business analytics, or Information Technology
• Proficient with Google’s suite of products preferred
• Proficient with Excel required
• Proficient with SQL required
• Proficient with python or similar application (preferred)
• Strong communicator, both written and verbal
• Able to think outside of the box and solve problems
• Able to work both with a team and be independently successfully
• Able to stay organized and pay close attention to detail
