Job summary

Veracity Engineering has an exciting opportunity for an Information Technology Specialist with FAA in Washington, DC or at the WJHTC, Atlantic City NJ. This role supports NAS Security and Enterprise Operations to minimize cyber security incidents and ensure availability of ATC systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive IT experience, strong quantitative skills and experience with modeling, simulation and data-driven decision tools. U.S.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of relevant information technology experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related information technology field; or equivalent substitution options.
• 5 years of relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree.
• Master’s Degree or MBA may substitute for bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience.
• PhD may substitute for bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience.

Veracity Engineering has an exciting opportunity for an Information Technology Specialist with FAA in Washington, DC or at the WJHTC, Atlantic City NJ. This position is responsible for support The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) NAS Security and Enterprise Operations (NASEO) (AJW-B) to minimize the impact of cyber security events or incidents in support of availability and restoration requirements for ATO systems and services. The FAA runs a multi-faceted cybersecurity program to protect the NAS in accordance with the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).

Essential Functions:

• Conducts quantitative analysis using operations research tools, economics, and other quantitative techniques in the areas of procedural implementations and performance issues.
• Creates analysis procedures.
• Assists in the definition of machine learning and data mining strategies.
• Creates, deploys, maintains and refines decision management models.
• Specialist in modeling and simulation functions or operations such as, but not limited to exercises, plans, coordination, demonstrations, and instruction in the fields such as, but not limited to health, environmental, transportation, law enforcement, and security for military and civilian agencies.

Must Haves:

• 20+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related information technology field.
• 5 years of relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree.
• Master’s Degree or MBA in related field may be substituted for bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience.
• PhD in related field may be substituted for bachelor’s degree and 7 years’ experience.
