Job summary

Sofidel America in North Las Vegas is seeking an Operations Service Assistant / Pulp Sourcing Assistant to support manufacturing operations. You will create purchase requisitions, enter pulp documents in SAP, monitor inventory, and assist with pulp sourcing.

This hands-on role requires strong attention to detail, comfortable moving between office tasks and the production floor, and good communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; additional education is a plus.
• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or operations preferred.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; self-starter on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase requisitions for operational needs, ensuring all information and documentation are complete.
• Support procurement by gathering quotes and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain and track operational supply inventory, performing regular counts and replenishment.
• Conduct weekly and monthly physical inventory counts for operational supplies, chemicals, and reagents.
• Monitor chemical and reagent inventory levels for accuracy and compliance.
• Track and coordinate empty chemical tote pickups as needed.
• Support pulp sourcing activities, including receiving and entering BOLs into SAP.
• Monitor delivery schedules and ensure accurate tracking of incoming materials.
• Create and process consumption of pulp and broke within SAP.
• Maintain accurate inventory and status tracking in designated areas such as exception bays.
• Investigate discrepancies and escalate issues to leadership as needed.
• Provide support for additional operational tasks based on business needs.
