Job Description:

This job is responsible for handling medium to large projects for a Line of Business that may be regional or national in scope. Key responsibilities include recommending policy and procedural changes and developing measurement criteria and project plans such as cost and resource estimates. Job expectations include working with senior management to evaluate current methods and develop strategies to implement change and improvements brought about by the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with the business to support defined project tasks, tracking deliverables and their statuses, and measuring progress against ongoing success measures
  • Supports partnerships with operations management to create project impact and provide direction and guidance to internal teams
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with relevant client stakeholders to communicate updates and elevate issues
  • Performs risk management activities to minimize project risks
  • Assists with creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation

LOB Job Description:

This job is responsible for the accurate, consistent, end-to-end capture of current-state operational workflows on behalf of the Horizontal Strategy team within Retail Credit Operations (RCO). Key responsibilities include documenting how data moves through operational processes, from upstream sources through downstream outputs, with full visibility into data provenance, decision points, and exception handling. The Operations Project Consultant functions as a procedural forensic accountant, producing a complete and faithful factual record of how a process operates.

Job expectations include engaging directly with operational subject matter experts to understand their process while remaining resilient to the vocabulary of existing systems, ensuring every workflow is documented to a common standard of syntax and methodology. This role captures the what and the how of a process with completeness and accuracy, establishing the disciplined, data-focused foundation on which downstream normalization, capability alignment, and horizontal technology design depend.
