Corning Inc. in Kentucky is seeking an Operations Process Engineer to support, optimize, and maintain mixing manufacturing processes, enabling safe, efficient, high-quality production.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and drive cost-effective improvements. The role emphasizes statistical analysis, process understanding, and continuous improvement, with a focus on reducing defects and downtime while meeting health and safety standards.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Materials Engineering (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or operations.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, DMAIC, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement tools; Green Belt preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Own daily process performance by supporting production, monitoring metrics, and responding to issues.
• Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in materials, processes, and equipment technologies.
• Troubleshoot process excursions and drive corrective and preventive actions via root cause analysis.
• Apply engineering principles, statistics, and data to improve stability, yield, throughput, and cost.
• Lead CI projects to reduce defects, downtime, scrap, cycle time, and variation.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance; identify risks and mitigation actions.
• Support trials, ramp-ups, and documentation for new materials, processes, and equipment.
• Build and sustain process knowledge through standards, learnings, and technical discipline.
