Job summary

Sand Cherry Associates is seeking a Business Process Analyst for an 8-week, 1099 hourly engagement to assess current-state operations across O2C and P2P. You will gather requirements, map processes, and document recommendations, partnering with the senior consultant and client stakeholders.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with Visio and MS Office. Travel up to 50% within TX and LA; Central Time hours; US work authorization only.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or related consulting environments.
• Foundational experience documenting business processes and workflows.
• Experience creating process maps and swim lane diagrams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Support discovery sessions, workshops, and interviews with stakeholders and process owners.
• Capture notes, decisions, risks, and follow-up actions from discussions.
• Document current-state processes across O2C and P2P, with ownership and handoffs.
• Create and update current-state maps and swim-lane diagrams detailing activities and dependencies.
• Document roles and responsibilities and maintain process narratives.
• Collect information on systems, data flows, reports, controls, and metrics.
• Review existing process documentation for completeness and consistency.
• Identify bottlenecks, handoffs, redundancies, and gaps; track issues and opportunities.
• Categorize opportunities into quick wins and longer-term initiatives.
• Assess potential business impact, risk, and implementation considerations.
• Prepare clear, visually consistent documentation and leadership-ready materials.
• Track deliverables and stakeholder feedback; collaborate to validate documentation.
